Lone NCP MLA in Jharkhand joins BJP

Kamlesh Singh, the only Nationalist Congress Party legislator in Jharkhand, has joined the BJP. He withdrew support from the Hemant Soren-led government because his demand for a separate district was not met. Singh was welcomed into the BJP by state president Babulal Marandi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
