Eminem Reveals Daughter Hailie's Pregnancy in a Poignant New Music Video That's Leaving Fans in Tears

This is not a drill, people! Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade Mathers — who we swear was just 2 years old a mere two seconds ago!!! — is now expecting her first child with husband Evan McClintock. Eminem (AKA Marshall Mathers AKA [The Real] Slim Shady) shared the exciting news in a poignant new music video for “Temporary.”

The emotional song is a love letter and directions for a future Hailie after Eminem has passed away. You know how some parents preemptively write letters to their kids to read when they’re no longer here? Eminem wrote a 5-minute song with the most tear-jerking footage of Hailie growing up and clips from her wedding that have fans fully crying. (Guilty!)

Most exciting and precious of all is the video of Hailie surprising her dad with a sonogram photo and a jersey with the word “Grandpa” on the back. The two are sitting on a deck outside and the mom-to-be looks so happy while Eminem looks utterly stunned. The video then cuts to a closeup of the sonogram of Baby Mathers-McClintock.

“Eminem is going to be a grandfather that’s so wild,” one fan commented on YouTube, and nearly 9 thousand users liked the comment because what?! Grandpa Shady?! Hailie with spit up on her sweater already? ( … Mom’s spaghetti)

“Alright .. who’s crying with me?” one user asked, and many virtual hands went up. The throwback footage is so heartwarming, and the wedding day video of Eminem’s first look at Hailie just opened the floodgates. The “Lose Yourself” rapper takes his sunglasses off to look at his daughter and give her a hug before putting them on and crying.

“Damn when he put the shades back on and started crying broke me,” one person said with the broken heart emoji, and on it went.

“Nothing hurts more than seeing Eminem cry.”

“If that doesn’t make you cry, you’re literally heartless.”

“I’m not crying. You’re crying!” yet another emotional fan wrote. “Don’t know how it got so dusty in this room all of a sudden … I think you’re the greatest of all time, but I also think you’re even better father and I think that’s evident … I have to say you’re going to be the best Grandpa … Congrats man!”

Hailie confirmed the news a couple of hours after Eminem released his music with a carousel of photos of herself and her college sweetheart holding sonogram photos. “mom & dad est. 2025 ????,” the 28-year-old captioned her Instagram post.

Along with Hailie, the “Stan” singer shares 31-year-old Alaina and 22-year-old Stevie with ex Kim Scott. Hailie’s baby will be his first grandchild.
