New EV sales continue to tumble in Ireland, down 26% from 2023

DUBLIN, Ireland: Electric vehicle (EV) sales in Ireland have dropped significantly, down 25.7 percent compared to last year, according to recent data from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI).

This is in sharp contrast to the overall new car market, which experienced a minor decline of just 1.4 percent up to the end of September.

The total new car market for 2024 stands at 118,926 cars, with fu
