Eminem Reveals Emotional News About Daughter Hailie in New Music Video
Eminem revealed in a new music video posted on Thursday that he’s going to be a grandpa.
The 51-year-old musician’s eldest daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Scott, is expecting her first child with her husband Evan McClintock. The announcement comes just five months after their wedding in May. Eminem used the music video for his new song, “Temporary,” as a de facto baby announcement and tribute to his own daughter. It was a fitting way to announce the family’s new addition, as Scott has been mentioned in her father’s songs since her birth 28 years ago.
The video features memories from throughout Scott’s life, including baby photos, footage of her father walking her down the aisle at her wedding, and the moment he learned he would be a grandfather. Near the end of the video, Scott gives her father a jersey from his beloved Detroit Lions with the word “Grandpa” emblazoned across the back. Wrapped within the jersey is an ultrasound photo, which the proud papa displays to the camera with a look of disbelief.
The gender of Scott’s baby is not yet known, nor is the child’s expected birth date.
Scott graduated from Michigan State with a degree in psychology. She currently works as an influencer and co-hosts the podcast Just a Little Shady. She and McClintock have been in a relationship since 2017, and became engaged in February 2023. TMZ reported that their May nuptials took place during a “modestly sized” ceremony attended by a select group of close friends and family.
In 2001, Eminem told British outlet Q (via People) that the birth of his first daughter “was the real wake-up call for me. She made me get my a-- in gear—to make something of my life and try 10 quadrillion times harder than I had before.”
Eminem is also the adoptive father of Stevie Laine Scott, whom Kim Scott shares with her ex-boyfriend Eric Hartter, as well as Kim’s niece, Alaina Marie Scott.
