Afghanistan and Gujarat Titans all-rounder Rashid Khan tied the knot in a grand wedding function in Kabul on Thursday. The premier leg-spinner’s wedding was attended by over 11,000 guests reportedly and the wonderful fireworks show at the wedding venue soon went viral on social media.
Incidentally Rashid Khan got married along side his two brothers Amir Khalil and Zakiullah with three members of the family tying the knot on the same day. Acoording to media reports, Rashid Khan and his brothers got married in traditional Pashtun customs. The wedding function took place at the Imperial Continental Hotel in Kabul.

The wedding was attended by most of Rashid Khan’s teammates including former captain and all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, Azmatullah Omarzai, Najibullah Zadran, Rahmat Shah, and Mujeeb Ur Rehman among others. Top police officials from Kabul also attended the grand wedding of Rashid Khan.

Rashid Khan had recently given the one-off Test against New Zealand in Greater Noida a miss due to injury. The T20I skipper was instrumental in Afghanistan’s historic ODI series win over South Africa in the UAE last month. Rashid picked up 5/19 in the second ODI against the Proteas.
The Afghanistan leg-spinner has an amazing T20I record, claiming 153 wickets in just 93 matches at an average of 14.13. While in ODI cricket, Rashid has picked up 190 wickets in only 105 matches at an average of 19.98.
In the Indian Premier League, Rashid’s record is equally impressive with 149 wickets in 121 matches while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans.
