As an outstanding representative of Polish Arabian Horse Breeding the 2024 WAHO Trophy was awarded to the stallion Ganges..

Bred and owned by Michałów Stud, born in 1994 Ganges turned 30 years old in 2024 and is in great form – so great that he had no problem with travelling from his home stud to Janów Podlaski to collect his much deserved award.

Ganges is the embodiment of the true Polish program – both “bold and beautiful”. He is a champion from the show arenas and a tenacious athlete as a winner from the race track.

Ganges raced 16 times over two seasons: he won three times (including the Koheilan I Stakes) and was “in the money” 10 times.

BREEDING

Ganges began breeding in 1999. He is the sire of 241 foals born and registered in Poland. His offspring were successful at the racetrack (Derby winner DON CARLOS, Arabian Produce – Janów Podlaski St. winner GONGES Z REGUŁA) and in the show ring (WIEŻA WIATRÓW, BERNADETTA, DOBRA NOWINA). Ganges’s daughters have also been wonderful dams (ALHASA – dam of show champion AL JAZEERA, EL MARINA – dam of show champion EL MARIELLA, EULERTA – dam of show champion EMPUZA, EWITACJA – dam of show champion ETERNAL, SABATINA – dam of Derby winner SEVERUS).
