'Violent criminal organizations policy': Laura Loomer says YouTube just blocked her
Far-right activist and self-described "proud Islamophobe" Laura Loomer said YouTube blocked her video channel for potential violations of its "violent criminal organizations policy" — but YouTube said Thursday it set one video to private.
Loomer took to X on Thursday afternoon to complain she was being censored for supporting the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump.
"They have put a strike on my channel and made all of my videos private because they say my content, which is simply pro Trump content, violates their 'violent criminal organizations policy,'" Loomer wrote. "This is outrageous election interference."
A YouTube spokesperson told Raw Story one video had been set to private because it included footage taken by Nasim Najafi Aghdam, who perpetrated a shooting at YouTube’s headquarters in 2018.
"No penalty was applied to the channel and no other videos are affected," the spokesperson said.
The screenshot Loomer shared with X viewers suggested not all of her videos were made private, as it cuts off after the first paragraph.
"Our team has reviewed your content," the email screenshot reads. "We think you may need to make changes to make sure it doesn't violate our violent criminal organizations policy. In the meantime, we've made the following content private:"

It would not be the first time Loomer's commentary — which has included Sept. 11 conspiracy theories and racist jokes about Vice President Kamala Harris' smell — has seen her banned from a major social media platform.
Facebook, Instagram and, according to Loomer, Uber blocked her accounts over offensive comments about Muslim drivers, BBC News reported in September when she was seen among Trump's entourage.
Her close proximity to Trump raised concerns among powerful Republicans such as Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC), who took to X last month to share his views on Loomer.
"Laura Loomer is a crazy conspiracy theorist who regularly utters disgusting garbage intended to divide Republicans," Tillis wrote on X. "A DNC plant couldn't do a better job than she is doing to hurt President Trump's chances of winning re-election. Enough."
