Seeing as it’s now October, most of us are clocking in for fall, reporting for duty in sweaters and oversize scarfs. But for the rich, the beautiful, and men with perfect li’l eyebrow piercings, the season for summer vacations is apparently still in full swing. Over the past several days, on-again-off-again couple Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli have been photographed off the coast of Italy. Per TMZ, Elordi has been yachting around the Mediterranean with Giannulli and her family, sunbathing in Sardinia, and looking altogether relaxed and without a single worry.

Prior to this semi-clothed display of affection, Elordi and Giannulli seemed to be on shaky ground. They were first spotted getting coffee together in 2021, and have since been a frequent subject of tabloid speculation. Earlier this year, Us Weekly claimed the pair were broken up, while a source told TMZ the same week they were “literally together in NYC” for Elordi’s Saturday Night Live rehearsals. But aside from a September sighting in Beverly Hills, the couple has kept a relatively low profile.

Their Mediterranean vacation also appears to involve spending quality time with Olivia’s parents, Mossimo Giannulli and Lori Loughlin, who you may recall from 2019’s college admissions scandal. After the fallout from Operation Varsity Blues, Giannulli dropped out of USC to pursue YouTubing full-time, while her mother pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, serving two months in jail. Undeterred, Giannulli has been influencing ever since, posting wellness tutorials and her oddly specific summer-morning lake routine. And, apparently, sunbathing with one of Hollywood’s leading men. As for whether the conversation flows, that much is still a mystery. Surely, they love discussing her stint on Dancing With the Stars and her Division I rowing career. Right?
