COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - From food and coffee festivals, to the Columbus Crew and the Ohio State Buckeyes, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.
Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival
The Yard at Easton Town Center, Oct. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m.
- The seventh annual event will feature mac and cheese creations for guests, live entertainment, kids’ activities and giveaways. The festival benefits the Adolescent and Young Adults Cancer Program at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Tacos, Tequila, and Music at the Park
Goodale Park, Oct. 5-6
- The annual fall taco fest returns to Columbus with a weekend full of tacos from diverse food vendors, tequila bars, live music and more. The event will support Friends of Goodale Park.
Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, Oct. 5-6
- Enjoy coffee samples from roasters and coffee shops from around Ohio, along with live music, poetry readings, food trucks, axe throwing, on-site tattoo parlor and more. Attendees will be given a commemorative mug to keep and all coffee sampling is included with ticketed admission.
Linden Fresh Market, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- The Nationwide Children’s Healthy Neighborhood Healthy Families initiative is hosting a fall-themed festival. The event will feature free community resources, activities, food trucks, pumpkin decorating and more.
6800 Daugherty Drive in Reynoldsburg, Oct. 5 from 2 to 7 p.m.
- Celebrate Diwali, meaning 'Festival of Lights,' with live music, food, vendors and community groups.
Ohio Stadium, Oct. 5 at 3:30 p.m.
- The Ohio State Buckeyes face the Iowa Hawkeyes in a game at The Shoe. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
Natalie's Grandview at 945 King Avenue, Oct. 5-6
- Featuring a weekend lineup full of performances from Indie R&B artists from around Ohio. The festival will honor and award the talent in Ohio and its vibrant R&B music scene.
Columbus Crew vs. Philadelphia Union
Lower.com Field, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m
- The Crew face Philadelphia Union at Lower.com Field.
4185 Orders Road in Grove City, Oct. 6 from noon to 4 p.m.
- Take a look into what life was like in Ohio during the mid-1800s. The event will feature exhibits, traditions crafts, hands on exploration and more.
3375 Kioka Avenue, Oct. 6 from 1 to 5 p.m.
- The family friendly festival will feature several activities from hay rides, pumpkin decorating, a corn maze and more. The event is also having a costume swap this year and will show NFL games at the park as well.
Renaissance Park – 10542 State Route 73, Waynesville: now through Oct. 27
This 16th-century village comes to life with live entertainment, food, shops and more.
