Shock moment MAFS bride squirms in horror as new husband showers her with ‘compliments’ and can’t keep his hands off her
A Married At First Sight bride is left squirming in horror as her new husband struggles to keep his hands off her on their wedding day.
It comes after The Sun revealed this week the new contestants joining the experiment in a bid to find love.
This includes wedding planner Amy and prison education manager Luke.
Despite having an instant attraction, Luke’s leaves his wife with the “ick” after he showers her with compliments and his affectionate gestures.
In a preview clip for tonight’s episode, the pair try to get to know each other better while posing for their wedding photos.
Amy asks: “How old are you?,” with Luke responding: “I’m 30. You’re younger than me?”
Amy replies: “I’m 27.”
Speaking to the camera, Luke gushes: “I feel amazing, Amy is amazing.
“I can look at her and feel really warm inside.
“I’m not a doctor but I know she’s good for my circulation.”
But Amy shared her fears, saying: “I feel he’s attractive but being so close to somebody that I’ve never met before is a little bit awkward.”
The pair then revealed to each other their horoscopes, with the smitten lad telling her: “We’re water and fire. I need need to cool off – you boil me, steamy.”
But his cheeky compliments haven’t gone down well with his new Mrs.
She admits later to the camera: “Luke is definitely really charming but some of the comments he is making, I’m not sure how to react to them.
“I think he’s just very flirty and I’m not used to it.”
He then asks: “What do you like to do? Apart from looking amazing, showing off your clavicles…”
Awkwardly laughing, Amy replies: “I like baking, cooking, you’ll have to test it.”
He quips back: “I eat with my eyes, so I’m already full.”
Aside from the flattering remarks, Amy admits she also put off by him being overly “touchy feely” as he twiddled her fingers.
Amy then confesses that he’s given her the “ick” and is left cringed out by her new fella.
Amy will already be familiar to weddings due to the nature of her job.
She’s described as someone who is “Happy to relinquish control and leave her love life in the hands of experts who can do the hard work for her,” and she’s hoping they’ll “help her find someone who she can truly fall in love with.”
Amy’s bride bio goes on: “Northern girl Amy has spent the last few years planning weddings at an events management company, where she’s been helping brides and grooms create the dream day she’s always wanted.
“Looking at wedding dresses and venues, and tasting cake samples every day, Amy is constantly reminded of just how single she is.”
The hopeful bride has had three serious relationships that “never felt right.”
While Luke is from Malta and now lives in Kent.
He works as a prison education manager and describes himself as a traditional gentleman.
The new groom, whose celeb crush is Hollywood actress Margot Robbie, says he’d like to make his new wife homemade meals and compliment her appearance.
He trained in Youth Rehabilitation and works in a prison, but in his spare time the hunky groom competes in body building competitions.
Luke has transformed his body as a result, and has ranked first place in tournaments all over the world.
He says he hopes that appearing on Mafs will teach him how to be ‘vulnerable’ with his new wife, but says bad table manners is his “biggest turnoff.”
Viewers can also get ready to welcome health and fitness business owner Hannah, 33, from Cheshire, and Blackburn-based wedding planner Amy, 27, over the coming episodes.
A source told The Sun: “Hannah is wild – she comes in like a wrecking ball and will shake up the show. And Amy’s a real character – she’s not shy about looking for love so has high hopes the experts will work their magic and find her a match for life.”
