CCA chefs hold street food fundraiser for ‘Amerikos Argyriou’ centre

The Cyprus Chefs Association (CCA), in collaboration with the Association of Friends of the “Amerikos Argyriou” Centre for Preventive Paediatrics, organised a unique gastronomic evening in late September to raise funds for the Center’s programmes.

On September 30, 2024, the Chefs of Amathus Beach Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel, Amara Hotel, Atlantica Hotels, Grand Resort, Louis Hotels, The Royal Apollonia, Kapetanios Odysseia Hotel, as well as Sodexo, Blue Island and La Galerie Patisserie, joined forces to prepare the most delicious and gourmet street food of the city. Thanks to their efforts, thousands of visitors took a gastronomic journey, tasting exceptional flavours from all over the world, with the magnificent medieval Kolossi Castle as backdrop.

The culinary partnership was in aid of the “Amerikos Argyriou” Centre for Preventive Pediatrics, which offers three, free screening programmes to the entire population of Cyprus: (a) prenatal screening of pregnant women, (b) a screening test for metabolic syndromes in newborns, and (c) a screening test for newborn hearing.

President of the Association of Friends of the “Amerikos Argyriou” Centre, Fotini Tsiridou, thanked the CCA chefs for their valuable support. She offered especial thanks to CCA president Petros Gavriel and Limassol representative Aristos Antoniou for the excellent initiative and organisation, as well as to the thousands of visitors for showing their support to the “Amerikos Argyriou” Centre.
