Bomb destroys car in Limassol in early hours

A car bomb exploded at 3am on Thursday in Limassol.

Police said the car was being used by a 78-year-old and was parked in Ayios Athanasios area.

The blast was caused by an improvised explosive device and the car was completely destroyed.

The authorities began investigations with the first light of the day to find evidence and determine the motive.
