Wendy’s Unveils First Look at ‘Spongebob’-Inspired Krabby Patty Meal
Are you ready, nostalgic adults? Wendy’s has released the first look at its Krabby Patty Kollab meal, which is coming to restaurants on Oct. 8 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Nickelodeon and Paramount devised the Krabby Patty Kollab so that fans could finally try the legendary burger slung by SpongeBob, the absorbent and yellow short-order at the Krusty Krab restaurant, which serves the denizens of underwater town Bikini Bottom.
Wendy’s is introducing two new, limited-time menu items inspired by Mr. Krabs’ esteemed establishment, the foremost being its Krabby Patty Kollab Burger. It’s made with a quarter pound of beef, two slices of melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and "top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce" on a toasted bun.
Those in the mood for something sweet can help themselves to the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, a vanilla Frostee with a pineapple-mango purée swirl and a punning name that evokes Spongebob’s iconic homestead.

This marks the first time the Krabby Patty has made its way into the real world, but it won’t be the only SpongeBob-related food item to do so. The Krabby Patty Kollab will introduce more than 100 SpongeBob-themed culinary dishes in over 250 restaurants in New York City, Dallas, Mexico City, Las Vegas, Miami, Atlanta, and other major North American cities. “Restaurants, chefs, and celebrities will give fans the opportunity to sample themed food items inspired by the show, including dumplings, falafel, burgers, doughnuts, ice cream and more,” Variety reported.
The Krabby Patty Kollab will run from Oct. 8 until Oct. 27. So far, only Wendy’s has announced the specific menu items which will be available. You can check out a full list of participating restaurants here.
