Weekend Watch: ACL fun begins and Fortlandia builds up at LBJ Wildflower Center
AUSTIN (KXAN)-- Music lovers and building experts of all ages, can expect a weekend filled with fun adventures in Austin.
Austin City Limits Music Festival, an Austin staple makes it's return this weekend. ACL is bringing over 100 performances to 7 stages at Zilker Park.
Concertgoers will be able to enjoy music from some of the biggest names in music right now including Dua Lipa, Chris Stapleton, Tyler, The Creator and the #1 artist on Billboard, Chappell Roan.
Other artists expected to appear including Norah Jones, Benson Boone, Renee Rapp, and Blink-182.
The three day event will run over the first two weekends of Oct. beginning this Friday Oct. 4. Single day tickets are still available to purchase online.
The weather for the weekend looks like it should cooperate, with rain chances starting to diminish.
You can expect a 10% chance of a few showers moving by, mostly sunny skies should bring some relief from the warmer weather. Those in attendance will feel that temperatures are going to stay in the low 90s.
The second event of the weekend is Fortlandia at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Running from October 4th through February 2nd, Fortlandia is a collection of custom forts created by local artists, architects, and designers.
These forts are created to show creativity and a sense of exploration for all ages. Admission for Fortlandia is included in your ticket for the LBJ Wildflower Center.
