Patriots Reportedly Add Two Players (One Lineman) To Practice Squad

The New England Patriots reportedly added two offensive players to the team's practice squad.

Offensive lineman Jerome Carvin and tight end Jack Westover each had lockers set up inside the Patriots locker room on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss and MassLive's Mark Daniels. They will fill the final two spots on the practice squad.

The 24-year-old Carvin is back in New England after he was released Sept. 10.

Carvin previously signed to the Patriots practice squad following the league's 53-man roster cutdown. The 6-foot-3, 308-pounder was an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee and has not played a regular-season game. Carvin initially signed with the Kansas City Chiefs last summer before he spent time with the Chicago Bears in January.

Westover is an undrafted free agent out of Washington. The 6-foot-3, 243-pound Westover signed with the Seattle Seahawks before he was released with an injury settlement in August, per Daniels. Westover was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention and was the third-leading receiver for the Huskies in 2023.

The Patriots reportedly hosted veteran offensive lineman Jesse Davis for a workout on Tuesday.
