Sarfaraz Khan Goes Wild while Celebrating his Century in Irani Cup
As KL Rahul made his return to Test team, Sarfaraz Khan lost his place from the team. He stayed back to play Duleep Trophy before the first Test and was then released during the second Test in order to play Irani Cup.
He then proved his importance as he scored a century in the Irani Cup on the very next day from being taken off from the squad against Bangladesh.
Sarfaraz came out to bat at no. 6 on after the top-order got destroyed. At the end of Day 1, Mumbai was at 237/7 and Sarfaraz was on 54 off 88 balls. He was playing with skipper Ajinkya Rahane who missed his century on Day 2 and gave out the fifth wicket.
Shams Mulani soon got taken down as well, but Sarfaraz continued to play with patience. He reached his century later on in the 92nd over. He took off his helmet and celebrated his 15th first-class century.
