Lake Charles middle schooler arrested, charged with terrorizing over school threat

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- A 14-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly threatening to inflict harm at a football game tonight, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to F.K. White Middle School in Lake Charles at approximately 10:30 a.m. today in reference to a threat made by a student, officials said. Investigators said a 14-year-old made a threat to shoot up a football game, scheduled for tonight. It was also learned the suspect made the threat while at school.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing-menacing.
The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted CPSO with the investigation, authorities said.
