Hurricane Kirk forms in eastern Atlantic, could strengthen into a major storm

Kirk became a hurricane in the eastern Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday. The storm could strengthen into a major hurricane by Thursday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.
