Pittsfield man arraigned on assault, weapon charges
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The Berkshire County District Attorney's Office (BCDAO) announced that a Pittsfield man was arraigned on Monday in connection to a domestic violence incident. Teige Harden, 34, is facing numerous charges.
Harden is accused of assaulting a family member with a deadly weapon. He was taken into custody by Pittsfield Police on September 27.
At the time of his arrest, Harden was allegedly found with nearly a quarter pound of cocaine. He was arraigned on the following charges:
- Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - handgun
- Possession of a firearm in felony
- Improper storage of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm without FID card
- Possession of ammunition without a FID card
- Threat to commit a crime - murder
- Assault and battery on a family/household member, subsequent offense
- Trafficking cocaine - more than 100 grams, less than 200 grams
According to the BCDAO, Harden reportedly has a longstanding criminal history in Virginia. He was ordered to be held without bail pending an upcoming hearing.
