Iran launches Ballistic Missiles at Israel
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced on Tuesday night that it had fired dozens of missiles toward Israel. In a statement, the IRGC warned that if Israel retaliates, it will face devastating attacks.
In the statement, the IRGC said, “In response to the martyrdom of Martyr Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Martyr Nilforoushan, we targeted the heart of the occupied territories [referring to Israel].”
Moments ago, the IRGC launched dozens of ballistic missiles at Israeli territory. Israel has yet to respond to Iran’s attack. Observers suggest this attack could lead the Middle East into a full-scale war.
According to reports,” the Israeli army confirmed that missiles were recently fired from Iran toward Israeli territory.
Israeli media reported that over 100 missiles were launched from Iran, targeting central and southern Israel.
The Israeli army has urged all citizens to remain in shelters following the missile strikes from Iran.
Israeli media also reported that three missiles directly hit Israel.
Hebrew-language media sources stated that over 400 hypersonic missiles reached Israel in less than 10 minutes.
The Israeli army spokesperson claimed that some of the Iranian missiles were intercepted, but there have been casualties.
The White House announced that President Biden has convened Vice President Harris and the national security team to discuss Iran’s attack.
The White House further added that Biden has instructed the U.S. military to assist Israel in intercepting Iranian missiles.
The Pentagon told Al Arabiya that U.S. defense systems participated in repelling some of Iran’s attacks on Israel.
Iraqi resistance forces have warned that if the U.S. intervenes against Iran or if Israel uses Iraqi airspace, they will target American bases in Iraq. The escalating conflict between Iran and Israel is drawing in international actors, raising concerns about a wider regional war.
