Brian Dominick, eldest son of Cicero town president, dies

Brian Dominick, the eldest son of Cicero Town President Larry Dominick, has died, according to the town spokesman.

“Town President Larry Dominick, Mrs. Dominick, his family and the entire community are saddened by the sudden passing of the President’s eldest son Brian Dominick,” spokesman Ray Hanania wrote in a statement.

“Brian was a gregarious and loved individual and was dedicated to the Town of Cicero. He loved his family and the community where he lived.”

Dominick, 50, worked as executive director of buildings and grounds for Cicero School District 99 and was a member of the Clyde Park District Board of Commissioners.

District Superintendent Dr. Aldo Calderin said they will have mental health professionals available at all schools for any staff members who need support in the wake of Dominick's death.

"The District is saddened by the loss to our school community and we will make every effort to help our community manage through this difficult time," Calderin wrote in a statement posted to Facebook.

A cause of death was not listed.

Dominick is survived by his son, Zachary.
