Salman Rushdie, Percival Everett and Miranda July are National Book Award finalists

Salman Rushdie’s memoir about his near-fatal stabbing, “Knife,” and Percival Everett’s revisionist historical novel, “James,” are among the finalists for the 75th annual National Book Awards
