Mets vs. Brewers Wild Card Schedule Revealed
The Mets won’t have much time to celebrate the win of the year. The MLB Wild Card schedule is out, and they will play the Milwaukee Brewers at 5:32 p.m. ET on Tuesday. The game will air on ESPN. It’s a quadrupleheader of playoff baseball action, and Mets-Brewers is Game 3.
Freddy Peralta (11-9, 3.68 ERA) will go for Milwaukee. The Mets have not officially announced a starter, but reports indicate it will be Luis Severino (11-7, 3.91 ERA) since he was scheduled to pitch Monday. However, when the Mets won the first game of the doubleheader, they went with Joey Lucchesi to save Severino for Tuesday.
Peralta faced the Mets on Opening Day at Citi Field and earned the win with six innings of one-run ball (and one-hit ball). Severino faced the Brewers once and was rocked The righty gave up six runs (three earned) on 11 hits in five innings on March 30. That was the most hits Severino gave up in a start all season.
MLB has also announced that Game 2 of the Mets-Brewers series will start at 7:38 p.m. ET on Wednesday and air on ESPN. Game 3 would be at 8:38 p.m. ET on Thursday on ESPN2 if necessary.
