IT’S OVER

White Sox finish the season with a 9-5 win and victories in five of six. The 2025 season just can’t come quickly enough!

The guess here is that today’s outcome didn’t make a big difference to Detroit’s playoff fortunes? If it did, wow, they blew it, getting blown out by the 121-loss White Sox, 9-5.

As you can imagine, it was a slow, sloppy, clubbing game, watch out, pitchers and feast a bit, hitters. Chicago went up a quick 5-0, and later on, 9-4. Things got a bit hairy when a Kerry Carpenter grand slam off of starter Jonathan Cannon drew the Tigers to 5-4 in the fifth, but Detroit has its sights set on the postseason at this point and could afford to fritter this game away.

Better a game than a season, right, White Sox?
