Man fatally wounded when someone fires into an Austin house

A 25-year-old man died after he was shot Sunday morning when someone fired into an Austin house on the West Side.

Yosber Jesus Ibarra-Sanchez was inside a home in the 5600 block of West Potomac Avenue when he was shot about 5:10 a.m. Sunday by someone outside, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

Ibarra-Sanchez was taken to Stroger Hospital initially in critical condition, police said. He died hours later.

No one was in custody.
