Duson man arrested for allegedly exposing himself to passing motorists
DUSON, La. (KLFY) -- A man has been arrested on drug charges after allegedly exposing himself to passing cars in Duson, authorities said.
John Vice Stoute, 39, of Duson, was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail and charged with possession of 54 pills of Alprazolam without a prescription.
Duson Police were dispatched to Austria Road near I-10 on Saturday concerning a male exposing his genitals to passing motorists, officials said.
Officers found the man inside a local casino, and upon questioning the man denied exposing himself but stated he was adjusting his pants. Officers then released the man.
A review of video surveillance footage confirmed the man intentionally fully exposed his gentials to over 10 motorists while standing on Austria Road near Daulat Road in Duson, according to police.
Stoute was later found at his home in the 400 block of Third Street, where he ran away from Duson Police. Officers captured the man and said they found a bottle of prescription drugs on his person with no proof of proper prescriptions in his name.
Stoute will face additional charges of obscenity and resisting an officer in Duson Magistrate Court.
Bond was set at $2,500.
