Baby found dead at restaurant in NYC: police
FINANCIAL DISTRICT, Manhattan (PIX11) – A baby was found dead at a restaurant in Lower Manhattan on Monday, police said.
The baby was found just before 10 a.m. at Sophie's Cuban Cuisine, located on Fulton Street near Gold Street in the Financial District, according to the NYPD.
Police responded to the location after receiving a 911 call. The baby was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Cops were still at the scene Monday afternoon and could be seen going in and out of the restaurant.
Additional information on the circumstances surrounding the baby's death was not immediately available.
