Topeka man identified in fatal Shawnee County crash
SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) - One person is dead after a two vehicle crash in Shawnee County on Friday, September 27.
Just after 10:15 p.m., the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center received a notification of the crash that happened near Northwest 62nd Street and Northwest U.S. 75 Highway.
According to a release from a spokeswoman at the Shawnee County Sheriffs Office, Bryan Meyer, 37, of Topeka was driving eastbound on Northwest 62nd Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a jeep going southbound on Northwest U.S. 75 Highway.
Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, and passenger, of the jeep were transported by AMR to a local hospital. This accident is currently under investigation.
