KTA to start bridge repairs east of Topeka, lane closures expected
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kansas transportation authorities say lane closures are due for a road east of Topeka to complete bridge repairs.
The Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) will be closing lanes on Croco Road between Southeast 21st Street and Southeast Cypress Driver for bridge joint repairs starting on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and lasting through to Wednesday, Oct. 2. The schedule for these closures may be impacted by the weather.
- 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 1 - the left lanes in both directions will be closed.
- 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 2 - The right lanes in both directions will be closed.
Shawnee County spokeswoman Amanda Monhollon said drivers are encouraged to plan for potential delays and consider taking alternate routes while the work is ongoing.
