1 killed in West Town crash, shooting
One person was killed following a crash and shooting early Sunday in West Town.
The crash occurred about 2 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Magnolia Avenue, according to Chicago police.
A person in a vehicle then fired shots at a male in the other car, police said.
The male, whose age was unknown, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. He was transported to Northwestern Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Officials have not shared any additional information on the circumstances of the crash.
The alleged shooter fled the scene. Area Five detectives are investigating.
