Big away win for U18s on former international pitch
Stewarts Melville U18 ‘B’ 5 – 57 Linlithgow U18
Saturday 28 September 2024
Report by Graeme Miller
U18’s travelled through to Stewarts Melville and won 5-57 with the game being cut short with 5 minutes to go because of going over 50.
Our boys, complete with their new strips, worked well throughout the game scoring 4 tries in the first half, from Will, Calum, Colum and Harley and 5 tries in the second, from Jack, Will again, Finn, Calum again and finally captain Lewis. Conversions came from our 10, Ruairi, who ran and kicked well throughout.
Special mention goes to Ethan who stepped into centre for the injured Rory. Hopefully he recovers well and Jack, who powered over the try line scoring for the first time since early secondary school!
Well done to everyone and especially parents who transported the boys and supported well from the stand.
Note
Next year will mark the 100 year anniversary of Murrayfield as the national rugby stadium. Prior to that, Scotland played their international matches at Inverleith.
