Bring down maternal mortality rate to zero: Udupi DC Vidya Kumari K

Deputy Commissioner Vidya Kumari K. emphasized the importance of continuous care for pregnant women and newborns to reduce maternal mortality rates. She highlighted the need for proper biomedical waste disposal, timely vaccinations, and awareness about AIDS. She also called for strict action against female foeticide and urged the empanelment of new hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
