Al B. Sure!’s lawyers send cease-and-desist order to Amazon over Kim Porter book

NEW YORK (PIX11) – R&B singer and music producer Al B. Sure! said a memoir about his late ex-wife Kim Porter that's being sold on Amazon is fake. 

Al B. Sure! is demanding that Amazon stop selling the book on its website.

The memoir “Kim’s Lost Words: A journey for justice, from the other side…” was released on Amazon earlier this month. The book is based on information Porter allegedly saved on a flash drive that she gave to friends before her death in 2018.

Al B. Sure! was briefly married to Porter in the late 1980s, and the couple have a son together. 

The entertainer’s lawyers have sent a cease-and-desist order to Amazon claiming the book contains false information about him. He is demanding compensatory and punitive damages.
