Report: Clippers, Terance Mann agree to 3-year, $47M extension

Clippers swingman Terance Mann agreed to a three-year, $47 million contract extension on Friday, his agents told The Athletic. The fully guaranteed deal takes Mann through the 2027-2028 season.

Shams Charania of The Athletic first reported the extension, which kicks in before the 2025-26 season.

Locking in Mann, who had one year left on his contract, is critical this season. Perennial All-Star Paul George left for Philadelphia as a free agent and two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard isn’t healthy. Leonard is dealing with knee issues and will not participate in drills during the team’s preseason training camp, which begins Tuesday in Hawaii.

Mann, a second-round pick (48th overall) by the Clippers in the 2019 draft, has cemented himself as a versatile player who will be part of the wing rotation along with Derrick Jones Jr., Norman Powell and Nicolas Batum.

Mann, 27, started a career-high 71 games last season and averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 51.5% from the field and 34.8% from 3-point range.
