Trump Adds Ugly $100,000 Watches to Merch Collection

Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign increasingly feels like it only exists to support his true passion: bringing back the late-night TV infomercial.

In the past year, the financially and legally troubled former president has hawked a variety of odd products, from Bibles to gold sneakers to trading cards that come with pieces of the suit he wore to debate Joe Biden. On Thursday, he added a line of watches, with the creative name Trump Watches, to the lineup. Trump announced the new collection with a post on Truth Social:

The website features the video below, in which Trump claims buying one of his watches will put you in “a very exclusive club.”

“This isn’t just any watch it’s one of the best watches made,” he says. “It’s a tourbillion watch with almost 200 grams of gold and more than 100 real diamonds. That’s a a lot of diamonds. I love gold, I love diamonds, we all do.”

He concludes, “Go to GetTrumpWatches.com. It’s Trump Time!”

The watches aren’t as rare as Trump makes them sound in the video. According to the website, only 147 of the tourbillon watches will be produced. Each watch from that series costs an outrageous $100,000.

Or for the comparatively reasonable price of $499 to $799, you can choose one of these three watches. It says only 1,000 gold watches will be produced, but the “silver gold” and “red silver” versions will be available in “limited” yet unspecified quantities.

Whether you pay $500 or $100,000, every version of this watch looks pretty gaudy. But maybe the final product won’t be so bad. The FAQ explains that what you see on the site may not be what you get:

Plus, the watch company that licensed the Trump name is called “TheBestWatchesOnEarth LLC,” so you know they have to be good.
