FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Friday Evening,

It has been the wettest day since spring, with more than an inch falling here in the city, and multiple inches of rain falling in some of our area in the south. Expect showers to taper down a bit this evening, with flooding possible especially in the south ahead of midnight. Winds will gradually come down as well, as the low associated with Helene pulls off to the west further from our area.

With Helene and an upper low interacting to our southwest, the moisture field will still spread across our area though the weekend, with on and off rain showers expected through the day on Saturday, Sunday, and into Monday. High temps will stay in the low to mid 70s during the period, with lighter breeze on Saturday, and even lighter for Sunday/Monday.

Tuesday will see some sunshine early, and then clouds building later, with a chance of rain and storms late Tuesday into Tuesday night with a cold front. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 on Tuesday. We will see clearing skies on Wednesday with highs near 70 to the low 70s. We will have a crisp start on Thursday in the mid to upper 40s, but will bounce back to the lower 70s on Thursday with sunny skies.

Next Friday will see a few clouds increasing, with highs back above normal in the mid to upper 70s.
