Why blame Chinese cars, Tesla and GM are also spying on Americans

The United States is heavily concerned about Chinese software and hardware in car models that could be 'spying' on their users, and maliciously collecting private data from them, and using it for surveillance means. Meanwhile, Tesla and GM are also under the radar for the same thing, but the Trump administration is apparently not very worried about that.
