Gateway Film Center to celebrate industry-changing director with October movie series
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One of the most acclaimed and influential directors in film history will have his works celebrated by a local movie theater's month-long series.
The 15th year of Gateway Film Center's series on Alfred Hitchcock, called "Hitchcocktober," will begin Sunday and last through Oct. 31. Nicknamed "The Master of Suspense" and known for his influence over films in the horror and thriller genres, the nonprofit cinema credits Hitchcock with changing the industry, despite his last movie releasing in 1976.
"As fun and frightening now as they were when they were made, the Film Center is thrilled to present a selection of Alfred Hitchcock's finest as they were meant to be seen: on the big screen, this time restored in 4K." the Gateway website reads.
