City of Kingfisher asks residents to conserve water due to water plant pump issues
KINGFISHER, Okla. (KFOR) - The City of Kingfisher is asking residents to conserve water after advising residents about issues with its water plant pumps.
Kingfisher officials on Facebook say, parts of Kingfisher are without water as of Friday morning stating on its Facebook page water is in the water towers, but they cannot pump more into them.
Residents are being asked to use water conservatively and turn off all lawn watering systems as work to resolve the issue is ongoing.
Water is available for pick-up starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Fairgrounds says, Kingfisher Emergency Management. Residents are reminded to bring two separate containers for drinking water and for flushing toilets, according to the City of Kingfisher's Facebook page.
