2024 US Chess Championship – participants and information

The nation’s top chess players are set to compete in America’s most prestigious events – the 2024 U.S. Chess Championship and the 2024 U.S. Women’s Chess Championship.

The 2024 US Chess Championship takes place from 11th to 24th October with the participation of the whole US Olympic team which won the silver medals – reigning US Chess Champion Fabiano Caruana, Wesley So, Leinier Dominguez, Levon Aronian (silver board medal from the Olympiad), Ray Robson. They are joined by the villain in chess Hans Niemann, the 2024 US Open Champion Awonder Liang, Sam Sevian, Sam Shankland, Grigoriy Oparin, US Junior Champion Christopher Yoo, and wildcard Abhi Mishra.

Where is the 2024 US Chess Championship?

Hosted by the Saint Louis Chess Club (STLCC) at the World Chess Hall of Fame. It is located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Founded in 1984, it features chess exhibits, engages in educational outreach, and maintains a list of inductees to the U.S. Chess Hall of Fame and World Chess Hall of Fame.
