Cyta Business presents innovative NarrowBand-IoT network

On September 26, 2024, at The Royal Hall in Nicosia, Cyta Business held a special event where it unveiled its innovative NarrowBand-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) network. NB-IoT is a Low-Power, Wide-Area (LPWA) network, developed specifically to connect seamlessly IoT-enabled devices that require low power, low performance and long-range communication.

With invited guests representing enterprises, public sector and SMEs, Cyta Business shed light on the new possibilities brought by NB-IoT, which was designed to support the needs of modern enterprises and utilities in the Internet of Things era.

Keynote speakers were Niki Ioannou (Head of Sales, Customer Service, Marketing & Communications, Cyta Business) and Konstantinos Kombocholis (Senior Marketing Manager, Huawei). Additionally, Dr Zenon Zenonos (Assistant Professor at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo and Cyta Council Member) moderated the panel in which participants were: Alexis Makriyiannis (Head of Technical Solutions and Special Projects, Cyta Business), Evripides Kyriakides (Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer at the Water Development Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment) and George Michael (B. Network Engineer at the Department of Electronics & Telecommunications, EAC).

This was followed by a networking cocktail, where attendees had the opportunity to network with each other and exchange views.
