FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Happy Friday!

Following Hurricane Helene's landfall, rain showers on the northernmost edge start to roll into Central Ohio this morning, and the shower activity will continue through most of today. Expect a fairly steady, light rain, before we see a short lull during the late-morning/early afternoon. Then more rain rolls in, with some heavier showers this afternoon. Rain activity becomes more scattered in nature by this evening, which means Football Friday Nite plans will still be fairly soggy.

In addition to the rain, it will also be fairly gusty, with wind alerts in effect for portions of the region.

We start our Saturday off mainly dry, with additional rounds of showers during the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid 70s through much of the weekend and into next week.

Shower activity continues on Sunday, with some heavier pockets of rain. This is because the area of low pressure leftover from Helene will hold stagnant over the Midwest for a few days, before a cold front starts to move it eastward next week.

That means we'll see additional showers the start of the next workweek, before rain starts clearing up by the midweek.
