Mühle-Glashütte Sets the Sail with the 29er Big Small Seconds Edition 1994

0

Mühle-Glashütte continues its 30th-anniversary celebrations of the family business in its current form with the 29er Big Small Seconds Edition 1994, bringing a new function to the 29er watch family: a decentralized small seconds display at 6 o’clock that is finely grooved. Limited to 155 pieces, this new addition offers a unique take on a successful series known for its nautical inspiration and dynamic design. The original 29er series, named after the fast and agile regatta dinghy, has become one of the Glashütte based marque’s most popular collections. With a 42.4mm stainless steel case, the latest iteration with the small seconds having a grand entrance, enhances the line’s distinct character.

The luminescent dial combines three distinct colors: an anthracite base with a lighter subdial for the small seconds and a striking blue chapter ring on the flange. The contrast between these elements adds depth and dynamism to the design, creating a visually engaging timepiece. Several design elements are a nod to the anniversary theme. The number “30” on both the date and seconds scale is highlighted in Mühle’s signature “anniversary blue,” with the small seconds hand echoing the vibrant hue. Completing the subdued look is a dark blue canvas strap with a stainless steel pin buckle, ensuring comfort and style.

Powered by the Sellita SW 261-1 automatic movement, modified with Mühle’s patented shock-resistant woodpecker neck regulation, the 29er Big Small Seconds Edition 1994 is finely tuned to run within +0 to +8 seconds per day. It is well protected within the 42.4mm stainless steel case which is water-resistant to 100 meters and equipped with an exhibition case back that displays the special anniversary oscillating mass.

Pricing is marked at approximately $2,120 when converted to USD.
