Burgundy Diamond Mines pauses Ekati expansion, sends critical letter to premier

A public hearing about a diamond company's plan to mine underground was supposed to start today. Instead there has been a dramatic about-face in the project. Burgundy Diamond Mines is pausing its plan to expand its Ekati mine in the N.W.T. The company has also sent a critical letter to the territory's Premier explaining why.
