Helene Races Toward Florida as Major Category 3 Storm

CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. — Fast-moving Hurricane Helene was advancing Sept. 26 across the Gulf of Mexico toward Florida, threatening a “catastrophic” storm surge in parts of the state.
