Cindy Beale schemes about daughter Anna Knight and Freddie Slater in EastEnders
CINDY Beale will be left scheming in order to get her daughter Anna Knight to move on from Bobby once and for all.
In upcoming scenes on EastEnders, Cindy will decide that she is going to give Anna a gentle nudge into pursuing something new with Freddie Slater.
Viewers of the BBC One soap know that Anna and Freddie have previously confessed feelings for one another.
They had previously hooked up with one another before having another illicit snog which was unfortunately witnessed by Bobby.
Now, with Bobby and Anna officially over, and him having fled the village, Cindy has now seen an opportunity for Anna and Freddie to finally get back together.
Next week, viewers will see Cindy encourage Anna to be honest about her feelings.
In an attempt to move forward, the duo agree to continue their friendship by going out on a bird watch.
As they headed to The Vic after the bird-watching, Ian is also in the pub who gives the pair a disappointed stare.
Ian insists that he and Cindy leave the pub whilst Anna and Freddie are there which leaves Cindy furious.
As it becomes clear that Freddie and Anna are happy in one another’s company, could this finally be the start of a romance that many have been longing for?
Although it appears that a romance could potentially be heating up, some fans recently branded the love triangle plot “abysmal”.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, after the episode, one BBC viewer raged: “Can’t take much more of this Freddie/Anna/Bobby love triangle.”
While another demanded Anna and Freddie are axed from the soap.
They wrote: “Ruining the show! Abysmal abysmal abysmal! Blend these two together and Hollyoaks actors are still superior- it hurts my heart to exclaim such words about the mighty Eastenders! Viva la axe.”
“Who asked for Anna & Freddie?” a third viewer moaned.

He was in a relationship with Shelley Unwin but started dating Lucy Richards, and quickly married her after she fell pregnant with his son, Simon.
But it didn’t stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him.
Ken/Deidre/Mike: Back in 1982, Deirdre Barlow started sleeping with her husband’s nemesis Mike Baldwin in secret, before confessing all a year later.
When Mike turned up at the marital home, Deirdre was being throttled by her husband who then kicked her out, but years later they reconciled.
Maria/Aidan/Eva: In 2017, Aidan Connor started sleeping with girlfriend Eva Price’s best friend, Maria Connor.

She eventually decided to marry Pete but yet again, a soap wedding day was ruined when the groom learned of his bride’s betrayal via a recording played at the wedding.
Chrissie/Robert/Aaron: Robert Sugden was married to Chrissie White and all seemed well – until he began a steamy affair with Aaron Dingle.
Robert’s ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair – but fell to her death before she had the chance.
However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair – after which she announced it to the whole pub.
