GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- It's been about a month since Chris Koetzle, the former supervisor of the Town of Glenville, stepped down after serving for the past 15 years. Koetzle gave a farewell message in a town board meeting back in August.

The acting supervisor is Robert Kirkham. He was appointed and elected as for his new position, and has already completed the transition period with the former supervisor. Kirkham said he plans to carry on the projects put in place by Koetzle but also will be taking in tackling different challenges.

“A month into the position there are certainly many challenges, as you well know we are working through the budget process right now," Krikham said. "The town of Glenville has roughly a $22 million budget. Along with many projects that have been taking place. Good quality of life projects that are taking place in our parks and throughout our community, along with great economic development, opportunities, and upgrades within our highway department, our DPW water plant.”

Kirkham also told NEWS10 that he plans to keep a close watch on the town's water plant and will be putting nearly $1 million toward water plant upgrades this year alone.
