Trump surrogate promises 'knockout' when J.D. Vance debates 'not prepared' Tim Walz

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), a surrogate for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, predicted that vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance would have a "knockout" against Democratic nominee Tim Walz at Tuesday night's debate.

During an interview on Real America's Voice Thursday, host Charlie Kirk spoke with Donalds about the upcoming vice presidential debate.

"J.D. Vance is exceptional. He's an all-star player," Kirk said. "What can we expect, and what is your advice going into Tuesday?"

"The nation doesn't know who Tim Walz is," Donalds replied. "So what you're going to see, I think, from J.D. is going to be a meticulous dissection of the disaster that has been the Kamala Harris-Joe Biden administration and how their plans are even worse than what they've done the last three and a half years."

The Florida lawmaker claimed Walz was "not prepared" to handle a debate with Vance.

"Meanwhile, J.D., you've seen it, Charlie, J.D. has been all over the media nonstop for two months, really pushing the narrative, checking the media, pushing back on tough media," he opined. "So I know he's more than prepared to step into Tuesday night's debate."

"And it's going to be, in my view, a technical knockout by J.D. Vance."
