Union Minister of Railways tested the Kavach 4.0 system between Sawai Madhopur and Sumerganj Mandi in Rajasthan. The system successfully managed seven different scenarios, including automatic speed adjustments and emergency stops. In the first phase, 10,000 locomotives and 9,000 km of tracks will be equipped with Kavach 4.0, aiming for nationwide implementation by December 2030.
