Finance Ministry's pre-Budget meetings to begin from October 10

The finance ministry will start pre-Budget meetings from October 10 to finalize budgetary allocations for 2025-26 and revised estimates for the current fiscal year. The meetings, chaired by the Secretary (Expenditure), will review six ministries and departments, concluding on November 11 with discussions on Railways and Health. The Budget is expected to be presented on February 1.
